# NRTM vs Balatro

The clearest difference is price: NRTM at Free against Balatro's $9.99. NRTM also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 81%). Balatro's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

NRTM is free to download; Balatro costs $9.99 up front. NRTM sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Balatro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Balatro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Balatro has 105K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of NRTM's written reviews are positive against 81% of Balatro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NRTM ships an update every 6 weeks, Balatro every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
