# iHW vs SchoolPass

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iHW at 70% against SchoolPass's 20%. SchoolPass's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (4.9K vs 27). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SchoolPass holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SchoolPass has 4.9K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of iHW's written reviews are positive against 20% of SchoolPass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iHW ships an update every 2 months, SchoolPass monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
