# BMChat vs 4Fun

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BMChat at none against 4Fun's 20. BMChat also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). 4Fun's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 19%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 4Fun sells 17 one-off in-app purchases. BMChat asks for nothing beyond the download.

4Fun holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 4Fun has 128 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 19% of BMChat's written reviews are positive against 50% of 4Fun's.

BMChat ships an update every 6 weeks, 4Fun every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
