# Oral vs Oliva

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Oliva at 78% against Oral's 35%. Oliva also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). Oral's advantage is ratings volume (202K vs 1) and chart position (#180 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Oliva holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oral has 202K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 35% of Oral's written reviews are positive against 78% of Oliva's.

Oral ships an update every 6 weeks, Oliva every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
