# Internet Speed vs Net Optimizer

The clearest difference is ads: Internet Speed at none against Net Optimizer's shown. Internet Speed also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). Net Optimizer's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 70) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Internet Speed sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Net Optimizer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Internet Speed against 4.6 for Net Optimizer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Net Optimizer has 3.1K ratings behind it against 70, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Internet Speed's written reviews are positive against 70% of Net Optimizer's.

Internet Speed ships an update every 3 months, Net Optimizer every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
