# Internet Speed vs Speed Test

The clearest difference is ads: Internet Speed at none against Speed Test's shown. Internet Speed also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Speed Test's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Internet Speed sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Speed Test sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Internet Speed against 4.4 for Speed Test. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 70 and 59 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Internet Speed's written reviews are positive against 61% of Speed Test's.

Internet Speed ships an update every 3 months, Speed Test every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
