# SAP HD vs Foscam

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Foscam at 710 against SAP HD's 4. Foscam also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13 vs 15.6). SAP HD's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 17%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 2.3 for SAP HD against 2.3 for Foscam. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Foscam has 710 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 33% of SAP HD's written reviews are positive against 17% of Foscam's.

SAP HD ships an update every 2 months, Foscam every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
