# FOX 17 Code Red Weather vs WBBJ Weather

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WBBJ Weather at 83% against FOX 17 Code Red Weather's 46%. FOX 17 Code Red Weather's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (4.3K vs 33). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FOX 17 Code Red Weather holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FOX 17 Code Red Weather has 4.3K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of FOX 17 Code Red Weather's written reviews are positive against 83% of WBBJ Weather's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
