# RoadReady vs Gaels Connect

The clearest difference is rating: Gaels Connect at 4.3 against RoadReady's 2.9. Gaels Connect also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). RoadReady's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (18K vs 8). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gaels Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RoadReady has 18K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of RoadReady's written reviews are positive against 0% of Gaels Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RoadReady ships an update every 6 days, Gaels Connect every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
