# Rainbow Defence vs Stellar!

The clearest difference is rating: Rainbow Defence at 5.0 against Stellar!'s 2.2. Rainbow Defence also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 13.0). Stellar!'s advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rainbow Defence sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Stellar! sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rainbow Defence holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stellar! has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Rainbow Defence's written reviews are positive against 83% of Stellar!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rainbow Defence ships an update every 5 weeks, Stellar! every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
