# Garage Gurus vs Snap

The clearest difference is rating: Snap at 4.7 against Garage Gurus's 3.1. Snap also leads on ratings volume (767 vs 7). Garage Gurus's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (50% vs 30%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Snap holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snap has 767 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Garage Gurus's written reviews are positive against 30% of Snap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
