# Quicken Classic vs FarmCommand

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FarmCommand at 64% against Quicken Classic's 12%. Quicken Classic's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 19) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Quicken Classic holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quicken Classic has 15K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of Quicken Classic's written reviews are positive against 64% of FarmCommand's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
