# Matterport vs OnsiteIQ Capture

The clearest difference is rating: Matterport at 4.7 against OnsiteIQ Capture's 4.3. Matterport also leads on ratings volume (4.2K vs 6). OnsiteIQ Capture's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Matterport holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matterport has 4.2K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Matterport's written reviews are positive against 43% of OnsiteIQ Capture's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Matterport ships an update monthly, OnsiteIQ Capture every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
