# Matterport vs Panorama

The clearest difference is monetization model: Panorama at free against Matterport's free with in-app purchases. Panorama also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). Matterport's advantage is ratings volume (4.2K vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Panorama holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matterport has 4.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Matterport ships an update monthly, Panorama every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
