# Hands vs Cat

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cat at every 10 days against Hands's every 3 months. Cat also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hands ships an update every 3 months, Cat every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
