# Subterfuge vs HyperShape

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: HyperShape at none against Subterfuge's 5. HyperShape also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 10 days) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Subterfuge's advantage is ratings volume (586 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Subterfuge sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. HyperShape asks for nothing beyond the download.

HyperShape holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Subterfuge has 586 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Subterfuge ships an update every 10 days, HyperShape daily. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
