# Farmer's Weekly vs BW.News

The clearest difference is ads: Farmer's Weekly at none against BW.News's shown. Farmer's Weekly also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 20 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). BW.News's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Farmer's Weekly sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 3 months and BW.News sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $16.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Farmer's Weekly holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BW.News has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Farmer's Weekly ships an update every 4 months, BW.News every 20 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
