# EShare for iPad vs SMART REC

The clearest difference is update cadence: SMART REC at weekly against EShare for iPad's every 4 months. SMART REC also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and device support (3 vs 1). EShare for iPad's advantage is rating (3.2 vs 3.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EShare for iPad holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of EShare for iPad's written reviews are positive against 50% of SMART REC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EShare for iPad ships an update every 4 months, SMART REC weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
