# Boogie Board Sync vs QuickNotes X

The clearest difference is rating: QuickNotes X at 4.3 against Boogie Board Sync's 3.1. QuickNotes X also leads on ratings volume (3.8K vs 111). Boogie Board Sync's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickNotes X sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months. Boogie Board Sync asks for nothing beyond the download.

QuickNotes X holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QuickNotes X has 3.8K ratings behind it against 111, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Boogie Board Sync's written reviews are positive against 38% of QuickNotes X's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Boogie Board Sync ships an update every 2 months, QuickNotes X every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
