# inRoute vs NAV

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NAV at none against inRoute's 4. NAV also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). inRoute's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (11K vs 5). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. inRoute sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. NAV asks for nothing beyond the download.

NAV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: inRoute has 11K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

inRoute ships an update every 2 weeks, NAV every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
