# DaysToGo vs Countdown

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DaysToGo at none against Countdown's 18. DaysToGo also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.0). Countdown's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (3.1K vs 4). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. DaysToGo asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for DaysToGo against 4.7 for Countdown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 3.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of DaysToGo's written reviews are positive against 82% of Countdown's.

DaysToGo ships an update every 4 months, Countdown weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
