# GetYourGuide vs BidALift

The clearest difference is ads: BidALift at none against GetYourGuide's shown. BidALift also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). GetYourGuide's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (325K vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for GetYourGuide against 5.0 for BidALift. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GetYourGuide has 325K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GetYourGuide ships an update every 6 days, BidALift every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and June 22, 2026 respectively.
