# GetYourGuide vs Pointcy

The clearest difference is ads: Pointcy at none against GetYourGuide's shown. Pointcy also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). GetYourGuide's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (335K vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for GetYourGuide against 5.0 for Pointcy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GetYourGuide has 335K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of GetYourGuide's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pointcy's.

GetYourGuide ships an update every 5 days, Pointcy every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
