# KPRC 2 Weather vs Know Snow

The clearest difference is rating: KPRC 2 Weather at 4.8 against Know Snow's 2.5. KPRC 2 Weather also leads on ratings volume (49K vs 102). Know Snow's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KPRC 2 Weather holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KPRC 2 Weather has 49K ratings behind it against 102, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of KPRC 2 Weather's written reviews are positive against 36% of Know Snow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KPRC 2 Weather ships an update monthly, Know Snow every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
