# Motive Driver vs BBC Driver

The clearest difference is rating: BBC Driver at 5.0 against Motive Driver's 4.4. BBC Driver also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Motive Driver's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 1) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BBC Driver holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Motive Driver has 12K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Motive Driver ships an update every 8 days, BBC Driver every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
