# Bandcamp vs Submerge

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bandcamp at every 3 weeks against Submerge's every 5 months. Bandcamp also leads on ratings volume (38K vs 3) and chart position (#107 vs unranked). Submerge's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Submerge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bandcamp has 38K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bandcamp ships an update every 3 weeks, Submerge every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
