# Bandcamp vs Somnideck

Bandcamp and Somnideck both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Somnideck's written reviews are positive against 51% of Bandcamp's. Somnideck also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Bandcamp's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (38K vs 11). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Somnideck sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Bandcamp asks for nothing beyond the download.

Somnideck holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bandcamp has 38K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 51% of Bandcamp's written reviews are positive against 100% of Somnideck's.

Bandcamp ships an update every 3 weeks, Somnideck every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
