# MEGA vs e

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: e at none against MEGA's 11. e also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). MEGA's advantage is ratings volume (108K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MEGA sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per month. e asks for nothing beyond the download.

e holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MEGA has 108K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MEGA ships an update every 2 weeks, e every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
