# Starfall vs Toothbrush Timer

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Starfall at 4.3K against Toothbrush Timer's 1. Starfall also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Starfall sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month and Toothbrush Timer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Starfall against 4.0 for Toothbrush Timer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Starfall has 4.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Starfall ships an update every 2 months, Toothbrush Timer every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
