# Starfall vs MathDistract

The clearest difference is rating: MathDistract at 5.0 against Starfall's 4.1. MathDistract also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). Starfall's advantage is ratings volume (4.3K vs 7) and chart position (#197 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Starfall sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month and MathDistract sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MathDistract holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Starfall has 4.3K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Starfall's written reviews are positive against 100% of MathDistract's.

Starfall ships an update every 2 months, MathDistract every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
