# FileMaster vs MyFiles

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FileMaster at 85% against MyFiles's 0%. FileMaster also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (60 vs 15). MyFiles's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FileMaster sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 3 months and MyFiles sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyFiles holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 60 and 15 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of FileMaster's written reviews are positive against 0% of MyFiles's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FileMaster ships an update fortnightly, MyFiles every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
