# Luxor® Controller vs Messana

The clearest difference is rating: Messana at 5.0 against Luxor® Controller's 4.2. Luxor® Controller's advantage is review sentiment (26% vs 0%) and ratings volume (548 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Messana holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Luxor® Controller has 548 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Luxor® Controller's written reviews are positive against 0% of Messana's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
