# Secure Notepad vs Diamond Glitter Diary

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Diamond Glitter Diary at none against Secure Notepad's 1. Diamond Glitter Diary also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (78% vs 70%). Secure Notepad's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (13K vs 1.3K). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Notepad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Diamond Glitter Diary asks for nothing beyond the download.

Secure Notepad holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure Notepad has 13K ratings behind it against 1.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Secure Notepad's written reviews are positive against 78% of Diamond Glitter Diary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Secure Notepad ships an update every 5 months, Diamond Glitter Diary every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
