# Secure Notepad vs Secret Diary

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Secure Notepad at 13K against Secret Diary's 1. Secret Diary's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Notepad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Secret Diary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Secret Diary holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure Notepad has 13K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 70% and 70% positive.

Secure Notepad ships an update every 5 months, Secret Diary every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
