# Secure Notepad vs Quick Note

The clearest difference is update cadence: Quick Note at every 4 days against Secure Notepad's every 5 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Notepad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Quick Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Secure Notepad ships an update every 5 months, Quick Note every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
