# Backpacker™ vs Majotori

The clearest difference is price: Backpacker™ at Free against Majotori's $2.99. Backpacker™ also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (5.4K vs 23). Majotori's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and ads (none vs shown). On device support there is nothing between them.

Backpacker™ is free to download; Majotori costs $2.99 up front. Backpacker™ sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per 7 days. Majotori asks for nothing beyond the download.

Backpacker™ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backpacker™ has 5.4K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Backpacker™'s written reviews are positive against 86% of Majotori's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backpacker™ ships an update every 6 weeks, Majotori every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
