# Backpacker™ vs 42 Trivia

The clearest difference is ads: 42 Trivia at none against Backpacker™'s shown. Backpacker™'s advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backpacker™ sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per 7 days and 42 Trivia sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backpacker™ ships an update every 6 weeks, 42 Trivia every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
