# Artifact Uprising vs Loop Photo Frame

The clearest difference is rating: Artifact Uprising at 4.5 against Loop Photo Frame's 3.9. Artifact Uprising also leads on ratings volume (5.2K vs 145) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). Loop Photo Frame's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (46% vs 22%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Artifact Uprising holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Artifact Uprising has 5.2K ratings behind it against 145, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Artifact Uprising's written reviews are positive against 46% of Loop Photo Frame's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Artifact Uprising ships an update every 5 weeks, Loop Photo Frame every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
