# Artifact Uprising vs MediaZilla

The clearest difference is rating: Artifact Uprising at 4.5 against MediaZilla's 4.0. Artifact Uprising also leads on ratings volume (5.2K vs 20). MediaZilla's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (36% vs 22%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Artifact Uprising holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Artifact Uprising has 5.2K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Artifact Uprising's written reviews are positive against 36% of MediaZilla's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Artifact Uprising ships an update every 5 weeks, MediaZilla monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
