# ButterflyMX vs Eddy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ButterflyMX at none against Eddy's 3. ButterflyMX also leads on ratings volume (115K vs 1) and chart position (#56 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Eddy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. ButterflyMX asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ButterflyMX against 5.0 for Eddy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ButterflyMX has 115K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
