# PIXPRO SP1 vs Minolta ProShot

The clearest difference is rating: PIXPRO SP1 at 2.3 against Minolta ProShot's 1.7. PIXPRO SP1 also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). Minolta ProShot's advantage is ratings volume (62 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PIXPRO SP1 holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minolta ProShot has 62 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of PIXPRO SP1's written reviews are positive against 14% of Minolta ProShot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PIXPRO SP1 ships an update every 8 months, Minolta ProShot every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
