# Pro Shogi vs Kizami

The clearest difference is update cadence: Kizami at daily against Pro Shogi's every 2 weeks. Kizami also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Shogi sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Kizami sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pro Shogi ships an update every 2 weeks, Kizami daily. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
