# Fantastical Calendar vs Planet Tab

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Planet Tab at 100% against Fantastical Calendar's 47%. Planet Tab also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). Fantastical Calendar's advantage is ratings volume (25K vs 1) and chart position (#150 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fantastical Calendar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Planet Tab sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Planet Tab holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fantastical Calendar has 25K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of Fantastical Calendar's written reviews are positive against 100% of Planet Tab's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
