# Fantastical Calendar vs Reverse Time

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Reverse Time at none against Fantastical Calendar's 10. Fantastical Calendar's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and rating (4.2 vs 3.8). On price, review sentiment, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fantastical Calendar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Reverse Time asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fantastical Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fantastical Calendar has 25K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Fantastical Calendar's written reviews are positive against 50% of Reverse Time's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fantastical Calendar ships an update every 3 weeks, Reverse Time every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
