# Fantastical Calendar vs Snap Widget

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Snap Widget at 80% against Fantastical Calendar's 47%. Snap Widget also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2). Fantastical Calendar's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (25K vs 20). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fantastical Calendar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Snap Widget sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Snap Widget holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fantastical Calendar has 25K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of Fantastical Calendar's written reviews are positive against 80% of Snap Widget's.

Fantastical Calendar ships an update every 3 weeks, Snap Widget every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
