# Fantastical Calendar vs GEESI

The clearest difference is rating: GEESI at 5.0 against Fantastical Calendar's 4.2. GEESI also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). Fantastical Calendar's advantage is ratings volume (25K vs 2) and chart position (#143 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fantastical Calendar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and GEESI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GEESI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fantastical Calendar has 25K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fantastical Calendar ships an update every 3 weeks, GEESI every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
