# Alternative Fueling Stations vs bp pulse

The clearest difference is update cadence: bp pulse at every 3 weeks against Alternative Fueling Stations's every 25 months. bp pulse also leads on review sentiment (65% vs 54%). Alternative Fueling Stations's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (7K vs 537). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alternative Fueling Stations holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alternative Fueling Stations has 7K ratings behind it against 537, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Alternative Fueling Stations's written reviews are positive against 65% of bp pulse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alternative Fueling Stations ships an update every 25 months, bp pulse every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
