# Runtime vs StairFit

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: StairFit at none against Runtime's 1. StairFit also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). Runtime's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Runtime sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. StairFit asks for nothing beyond the download.

Runtime ships an update every 2 months, StairFit every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
