# Epic vs MathWork

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MathWork at none against Epic's 10. MathWork also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Epic's advantage is ratings volume (519K vs 1) and chart position (#35 vs unranked). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Epic sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. MathWork asks for nothing beyond the download.

MathWork holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Epic has 519K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
