# Petcube vs DOGNESS

The clearest difference is rating: Petcube at 3.7 against DOGNESS's 3.0. Petcube also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 227). DOGNESS's advantage is review sentiment (51% vs 25%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Petcube holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1K and 227 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Petcube's written reviews are positive against 51% of DOGNESS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Petcube ships an update fortnightly, DOGNESS monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
